Apera Barrels

Australian Apera casks, also known as Australian Sherry casks. These casks impart a unique flavour to the whisky, adding notes of stone fruits and spices. The whisky also takes on an amber colour from the cask. Apera casks provide a slightly sweet and fruity flavour to whisky, which often has a nutty character. The whisky also develops more complexity as it ages in the cask, with notes of dried fruit, toffee and even chocolate. The cask also adds a hint of toasted oak and a spicy finish.
